Pocket Stop Tap in Board

Pocket Stop

Pocket Stop is a text chat for the gaps in your day. Its riders are AI characters on invented routes, and this page is the builders explaining their thinking.

Why we built it for the commute

Companion sites assume time and privacy, and a lot of life has neither. We wanted something that worked on a bus, in a queue, on a platform, with one hand and no sound. So we wrote 16 women who each work on the move, gave them a length of time to be good company in, and made the whole site fit a thumb. The result is brief on purpose.

About the address

The domain promises more than the product delivers, and we prefer to say that outright. What exists is a text chat with AI characters. There is no film, no live room, no audio and nobody real behind a screen. A portrait sits on each card and a banner crosses the lobby; the service changes page will warn you before the list grows.

What the stationmaster will not do

  • Write a ride in which a no is overruled, pressed or ignored.
  • Present a rider as someone you could find at a real stop.
  • Sell what you type, or pass it to an advertiser.
  • Seat a person under 18 in any ride, in any disguise.

Writing to the stationmaster

Mail to the footer address goes to a person. Corrections, complaints and timetable suggestions are all read.
